Join writer/performer Kim Porter in this fun and generous eight-week-long story development workshop. Porter is passionate about providing an environment that spurs inspiration, creates accountability, and supports storytellers as they shlep their way through their longer stories. In this workshop Porter offers established writers and storytellers a place to hear their works-in-progress and receive facilitated feedback to stay motivated and on track. All genres of stories --developed in both the oral and written tradition-- are welcome.

Kim Porter is a writer/performer and zealous developer of other people’s stories. Porter has performed her own works around the Phoenix valley at venues as tiny as the 49 seat Space 55 Theater and as large as the 800 seat Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. In 2015 she was named Best Storyteller by Phoenix New Times. Porter is a playwright whose work has been produced in San Diego, Los Angeles, New York, and Phoenix. Porter’s creative non-fiction was recently published in Reader’s Digest and Narratively and was nominated for the Pushcart Prize. Porter has been helping new and established storytellers develop their work for 25 years.
