“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind
word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring,
all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”
- Leo Buscaglia
Community Event Representatives
Passionate volunteers are needed to represent Jewish Family & Children's
Service at community fairs and events. Help us educate our community about
the comprehensive services Jewish Family & Children's Service
provides and the many roles in which volunteers serve.
Greeters at the Michael R. Zent Healthcare Center
If you enjoy engaging with clients, greeting them upon their arrival at
the healthcare center and assisting them with the check-in process, please
consider this greeter role. You will have the first opportunity to provide
a positive experience for our clients. Three hour shifts beginning at
8am are available Monday through Friday.
Speaker's Bureau Volunteers
Volunteers with good public speaking skills and an interest in educating
the community about the services JFCS provides throughout the community
are invited to join our newest volunteer program, Speaker’s Bureau.
The initial two-day Speaker’s Bureau training will be held in November
2018. To learn more about to this new volunteer opportunity and/or to
