“No one is more cherished in this world than someone who lightens the burden of another.” --Author unknown

Jewish Family & Children’s Service has many meaningful and rewarding opportunities for adults, teens, B’nai Mitzvah students and community organizations and businesses looking for an occasional volunteer experience. Your acts of human kindness make the world a better place and bring hope to those in need. Some Mitzvah Project suggestions include:

  • Conduct a non-perishable/non-expired food drive to donate to our food pantries Tool Kit
  • Collect and package full size hygiene products for our adults and children in need
  • Collect and pack school supplies for the Back to School Backpack project
  • Adopt-a-family for our holiday program
  • Collect Target, Walmart and Amazon gift cards for our clients’ needs
  • Organize a diaper drive for children and adults
  • Collect and create art kits for our youngest clients
  • Create caring cards which include Shana Tova, Happy Passover, and Thinking of you.
  • Deliver lunches and holiday gifts to Holocaust Survivors and older adults
  • Collect and make Mishloach Manot baskets and other holiday gift baskets for our older adults and Holocaust Survivors
