About This Event
- Event Type:Classes
From the early 20th century it was Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern and Rodgers & Hart who composed what became the American Song Book, filling the stages and screen with their melodies and words. In the 40s and 50s they would reinvent the musical to create a new and very American entity known as: The Broadway Musical leading to THE GOLDEN AGE OF BROADWAY. Marcia Weinberg--singer, actor, teacher--shares fascinating insight.
