    Overview

    Waiting roomThe West Valley Healthcare Center (WVHC) is located off the Arizona 101 and McDowell Road in Phoenix. Owned by the nonprofit Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JFCS), it opened in June 2021 as the organization’s newest healthcare center. JFCS provides behavioral health, healthcare and social services to individuals and families of all ages, faiths and backgrounds.

    WVHC offers behavioral and primary care services to adults in the community. These integrated health services allow for team members to use a “whole person” approach when treating patients. Find out more about integrated care.

    Patient Room

    Certified by HealthyVerify, WVHC is recognized as a healthcare location that adheres to disease-reducing procedures and health-safety protocols. In 2023, it was named as a Mercy Care Center of Excellence for Transition Aged Youth and it has also been named a Blue Cross Blue Shield Arizona Center of Excellence for Transitional Aged Youth.

    WVHC provides behavioral health treatment, including psychiatric care, substance abuse treatment, individual and group therapy and play therapy. Primary care services for adults include treatment for cold and flu, immunizations and physical exams.

    JFCS does not deny access to integrated health services for individuals within Maricopa County based on their ability to pay. JFCS has a discounted/sliding fee schedule available based on family size and income.

      Services for adults include treatment for cold and flu, acute pain and injuries, and annual wellness exams.

      A comprehensive approach that provides both behavioral and primary care services to ensure person-centered care.
    • Substance Use Disorders
      Services include therapy and counseling to help support an individual's mental health and sobriety.
    • Sand Tray Therapy
      A form of expressive therapy used by clinicians to help individuals cope with anxiety and traumatic experiences.
    • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
      A form of therapy that helps individuals with distressing symptoms that develop after traumatic experiences.
    • High Care Needs
      Services are provided by case managers who specialize in determining and supporting child and family needs.
    • Serious Mental Illness (SMI)
      Services are provided by clinicians that are certified to evaluate for SMI designations and provide needed care.
