Drawing Creatively with Lisa Chaikin - 8 Week Series

In this drawing course you will use and improve drawing techniques by practicing lines in various ways. You will increase your skills in drawing what you see, and improve your powers of observation and imagination in your works of art. You will draw basic shapes and use three- dimensional shading using line to make objects appear realistic. Then draw a still life based on this knowledge. There will be an art history activity based on Medieval enlarged and embellished Illuminated letters with a saying of your choice. By the end of the class, you will have gained creative confidence, and will be impressed with the versatility drawing brings to your own work.
*We do not accept drop ins.
Lisa loves teaching art to students! By combining her working artist background with teaching art, she is able give the best instruction to her students. Lisa specializes in reluctant learners, by offering them individual support and encouragement. No prior art experience required!
